Under the auspices of the Airport police station, Dr. Mahrang filed two petitions through her attorney Jibran Nasir, asking for the FIR against her to be quashed and for an investigation to be launched against specific police officers for allegedly abusing her and her companions and stealing her passport and cell phone.
Because of the FIR filed against the petitioner, a two-judge panel led by Justice Salahuddin Panhwar ordered the police to refrain from using any form of coercion against her.
In addition, the bench directed the SHO of the Airport police station, SSP-Malir, and the inspector general of police (IGP) to submit their remarks by October 21.
According to Advocate Nasir, his client was a prominent figure and a spokesperson for Balochistani youth.
