Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, the prime minister of Azad Kashmir, has urged the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) to start negotiations, claiming that 90% of the problems have been settled and that the current impasse needs to be broken.
At a press conference with Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, the AJK premier stated that while inciting discontent was the simplest option, communication was still crucial. He asked the Public Action Committee leaders to put an end to their demonstration and talk to the government, which was still open to negotiations.
The demonstration had not been peaceful, according to Anwarul Haq, who also said that more than 150 police officers had been hurt, three had been killed, and eight were still in critical condition.
