Invoking the power of complete justice under Article 187 of the Constitution, the Supreme Court declared on Thursday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) could not receive relief.
The comprehensive verdict was handed by a ten-member bench led by Justice Aminuddin Khan. According to The News, the bench also consisted of Justices Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi, Musarrat Hilali, Naeem Akhter Afghan, Shahid Bilal Hassan, Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar, Aamer Farooq, and Ali Baqar Najafi.
After overturning a decision from the previous year that said the PTI was entitled to reserved seats for women and minorities in the national and provincial parliament, the supreme court denied the party special seats on June 27.
