The proposal may end the war, which started with Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, next year, Zelensky told the Kyiv parliament.
Important components include a formal invitation to join NATO, the easing of restrictions by allies on long-range attacks deep into Russia using weaponry supplied by the West, a refusal to exchange Ukraine’s territory and sovereignty, and the ongoing invasion of Russia’s western Kursk area.
According to a Kremlin spokesperson, Kyiv needs to “sober up” before the plan can be implemented.
Speaking to lawmakers on Wednesday, Zelensky also blasted North Korea, China, and Iran for supporting Russia.
Additionally, he claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had “gone mad” and was determined to wage war.
At a Thursday EU session, Zelenksky said he would unveil the victory plan.
He told parliament, “We are at war with Russia in the information sphere, in the economy, in international relations, on the battlefield, and in people’s hearts.”
