The environmental protection agency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has completed plans to prohibit plastic use in tourist attractions and new townships.
These sites have been classified as climate change vulnerable, with pollution having a substantial impact on their integrity, according to a statement made by Habib, the deputy director of the KP Environmental Protection Agency.
He announced that a plan to impose fines on cars entering certain well-known areas will be included in the impending implementation of the plastic ban.
The money raised will be used to fund programs that stop environmental contamination.
He went on to say that a thorough plan had been formulated under the direction of the Chief Minister’s Environmental Protection Council, and that measures were in place to take action in coordination with district administrations in the area.
