The 70-year-old “Seinfeld” star made news in April when he said that television comedy had been damaged by the “extreme left”.
The majority of people used to say, “Oh, cheers,” as you went home at the end of the day. “M.A.S.H.” is on, huh? Oh, “All in the Family” and “Mary Tyler Moore” are on.During an episode of The New Yorker’s Radio Hour, he stated, “You just expected [there will] be some funny stuff we can watch on TV tonight.”
Guess what, though? What location is it? What location is it? The far left and P.C. nonsense are to blame for this.
Since no one is policing them, they will now see stand-up comedians. We are policed by the crowd. We can tell when we’re veering off course. We can tell right away. And we instantly become used to it,” he added. But if you write a script and it ends up in four or five different hands, committees, or organizations, saying things like, “Here’s our thought about this joke,” then your comedy is over.
Seinfeld said he “regrets” making the comments and wants to “take [them] back” during an appearance on fellow comic Tom Papa’s “Breaking Bread” podcast this week.
