In support of Pakistan, Biden asserts that Iran is not “well-liked” in the area.

White House spox says attack on Pakistan was another example of Iran's destabilising behavior in region

US President Joe Biden chastised Iran for striking Pakistan, claiming that the warring nations’ actions demonstrated Tehran’s lack of popularity in the area.

Two days after Tehran breached Pakistan’s sovereignty by striking in Balochistan, inflicting injuries and killing two children, Pakistan retaliated by attacking terrorists’ hideouts inside Iran on Thursday.

The Pakistan Army claimed in a statement that the “Marg Bar Sarmachar” intelligence-based operation has effectively targeted the terrorist organizations’ hideouts, such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF).

Killer drones, rockets, loitering munitions, and stand-off weapons were used in the precision strikes.

The greatest precautions were taken to prevent collateral damage, it stated.

In response to the fighting, Biden stated: “As you can see, Iran is not very popular in the region, and we’re working on that right now. Where that goes, I have no idea.”

Because Iran has been arming Houthi rebels in Yemen who have been conducting attacks against commercial shipping in the Red Sea, the United States and Iran have been engaged in a war of wills.

As Biden took off for North Carolina on Air Force One, White House national security secretary John Kirby informed reporters that Washington was keeping a careful eye on the conflicts between Iran and Pakistan.

“We wish to prevent a definite escalation in South and Central Asia. Additionally, we communicate with our counterparts in Pakistan “Kirby stated.

Kirby stated that Iran’s destabilizing actions in the area were exemplified by the strike on Pakistan.

Following a trade of airstrikes on each other’s territory, Iran and Pakistan, separately, alarmed UN chief Antonio Guterres.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’ spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric, stated, “The Secretary-General is deeply concerned about the recent exchange of military strikes between Iran and Pakistan.”

“He urges both countries to exercise maximum restraint to avoid a further escalation of tensions.”

As a “series of highly coordinated and specifically targeted precision military strikes against terrorist hideouts” in Sistan-Baluchistan, the raids on Thursday were termed as such by Pakistan’s foreign minister.

Three drones destroyed four buildings in a village close to Saravan during the strikes, which happened at around 4:30 am (0100 GMT), according to IRNA, citing Alireza.
