RAWALPINDI: In an effort to replicate last week’s spin-led victory in the third Test, which is scheduled to start on Thursday at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium (tomorrow), big fans were placed on the pitch for the series-deciding Test between Pakistan and England. This has raised concerns about the surface.
Pakistan’s risk of playing on the same field for the second consecutive game paid off in Multan last week, when they won by 152 runs to tie the three-match series 1-1.
In the second Multan Test, left-arm spinner Noman Ali and right-armer Sajid Khan helped the national team take all 20 England wickets as England collapsed to 144 all out while attempting to reach a difficult 297-run goal.
