As the Pakistan Navy vessel Zulfiquar departed the port city on Tuesday, it engaged in a Passage Exercise with the Coast Guards of Djibouti to improve communication.
According to a statement from the Directorate General Public Relations (Navy), the Pakistan Navy Ship Zulfiquar stopped by the port of Djibouti while on a regional maritime security patrol.
At dock, the ship was welcomed by representatives of the Djibouti Navy.
Senior military leadership was contacted by the PNS Zulfiquar commanding officer, who also looked into potential areas of future cooperation. It stated that the foundation of diplomatic ties between the two brotherly nations has been Navy-to-Navy interactions between Pakistan and Djibouti.
The PNS Zulfiquar crew also engaged in “professionally rewarding” exchanges with the Coast Guards and the Djibouti Navy during the port call.
