Lebanon’s Beirut Amos Hochstein, the United States’ special envoy to the Middle East, has arrived in the capital of Lebanon to discuss a possible ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
This follows a time of great optimism and anxiety that emotionally drained Lebanese people.
Diana Younes, a graphic artist, told Al Jazeera that she is on the verge of giving up and clinging to any hope.
“My God, Hochstein, please put an end to this war. I don’t want anything more.” Khalas! “Hamdella [thanks be to God],” she said, despite the fact that we are genuinely exhausted.
