Leading Israelis from all political parties have responded angrily to the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) issue of arrest warrants for both former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
On the other hand, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and regular Gazans have embraced it.
The revelation has sparked a furious response from prominent Israeli politicians of all stripes.
The judgment had “chosen the side of terror and evil over democracy and freedom,” according to President Isaac Herzog, who referred to it as “a dark day for justice and humanity.”
In addition to calling the ICC “a biased and discriminatory political body,” the prime minister’s office described the ruling as “an antisemitic decision” and stated that Israel “utterly rejects the false and absurd charges.”
