“In the logics of self-defense,” Jean-Noël Barrot stated that Ukraine may launch French long-range missiles into Russia; however, he would not confirm whether French weaponry had already occurred.
“The principle has been set… our messages to President Zelensky have been well received,” he stated in an exclusive interview with Laura Kuenssberg that was recorded for Sunday.
Earlier this year, President Macron of France signaled that his country would permit the firing of its missiles into Russia. However, given that the US and UK first used long-range missiles in that manner a few days prior, Barrot’s remarks are noteworthy.
Speaking with Foreign Secretary David Lammy in London on Friday, Barrot stated that Western allies should not restrict their backing for Ukraine against Russia
