Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir Monday emphasized the martyrs’ sacrifice for paying the ultimate price in the defense of the nation as the nation celebrates Eid ul Adha.
“During our visit to the Line of Control (LoC) in Haji Pir sector, we as soldiers take pride in celebrating such festivities away from our homes and loved ones while on duty, ensuring the security of our country and fellow citizens,” the COAS said in a speech to the soldiers.
The army commander offered Eid prayers alongside officers and soldiers at the front lines and prayed for Pakistan’s peace and prosperity, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). He also praised the soldiers for their commitment to defending the mothand, their good morale, and their dedication.
Speaking on the state of affairs in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), General Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s moral position, which is in line with pertinent UN resolutions.
The COAS denounced India’s continuous tyranny and brutality against the people of Kashmir and observed that, following the recent elections, New Delhi has been using false propaganda and provocations against Pakistan to try to hide its aggressiveness and victimization of the Kashmiri people.
He pointed out that such strategies, such as fabricating false flag operations, have turned into a standard political instrument of India.
“Pakistan has always supported peace and stability in the region; however, any provocation or violation of Pakistan’s territorial sovereignty will be met with a swift and resolute response, with the full support of the nation,” said the army chief.
