The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has nominated Dr. Zahra Hoodbhoy, Associate Professor of Paediatrics and Child Health at Aga Khan University (AKU), for the Goalkeepers Awards and Champions in recognition of her creative contributions to the medical field.
Hoodbhoy is a doctor trained at AKU, Karachi, and has been involved in public health research for almost ten years. She has worked with local and foreign researchers to create and carry out research projects as well as execute hospital and community-based initiatives. She has also authored multiple peer-reviewed articles.
Every year, Goalkeepers honors extraordinary people who are making a difference in achieving the Global Goals by 2030.
Goalkeepers will recognize ten outstanding Champions this year who are leaders, specialists, innovators, and activists from across the globe who are making incredible strides.
