Explosive Drone Found at German Airport
At a German airport, authorities have discovered a drone carrying an explosive device.
Near the same airport, another mysterious item also struck a cargo plane. After landing in Hanover, the aircraft was found to have minor damage.
Due to many unapproved drone flights over important locations in recent months, including military posts, airports, energy terminals, seaports, and logistics firms.
The German airports are on high alert. Russian spies may have orchestrated the overflights, police have claimed.
Explosive Drone Found Near Antonov Planes
In addition to being a base for Antonov Airlines of Ukraine, which transports the majority of the nation’s aerial cargo.
Leipzig/Halle Airport in eastern Germany is utilized by the German military and its NATO partners for the transportation of military supplies.
Additionally, it serves as a significant center for DHL, a logistics company.
The explosive-laden device was seen near parked Antonov aircraft, a police spokesperson told the news.
The explosive device’s detonator was taken out. A controlled explosion was later carried out by police.
The scenario has been called a “very serious security incident” by Saxony’s interior minister, Armin Schuster.
No more information has been provided by German authorities.
However, Oleksii Makeiev, the Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, asked Welt TV, “Who else could it be but Russia?”
Russia has not responded.

Leipzig Airport Faces Fresh Security Concerns
