Tuesday morning’s Jet2 Edinburgh to Ibiza flight was rerouted to Bristol Airport due to crew concerns regarding a passenger, who was treated medically upon landing.
According to Avon and Somerset Police, a male passenger was arrested “on suspicion of a sexual offence” following information they got on the ground.
A Jet2 flight from Edinburgh to Ibiza was safely diverted to Bristol Airport on Tuesday, according to the force.
The crew expressed concerns regarding a passenger who received medical attention upon landing.
Following the receipt of information, arresting authorities detained a male passenger on suspicion of committing a sexual offense.

Since then, the suspect has been freed on conditional bail while investigations are ongoing.
Flight LS789 was rerouted, according to Jet2, so that “police could offload a passenger following an incident onboard”.
“As this is a police matter, we cannot comment further at this time,” the spokeswoman continued.
