LONDON: Sher Afzal Marwat, the firebrand leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), launched a new attack on Fawad Chaudhry, a former party member, claiming that PTI founder Imran Khan had informed him of the former federal minister’s “shady” involvement in the regime change operation.
Marwat stated, “The PTI founder himself has told me that Fawad’s role in the regime change operation was’suspicious’.” The imprisoned party founder also claimed that Fawad was in “cohort” with General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the then-chief of the army.
Fawad openly criticized the PTI’s present leadership, calling them a roadblock to the jailed former premier and other leaders’ release from custody because they lacked a political plan. Marwat responded to this criticism with his most recent comments.
