On Prime Minister Shehbaz’s birthday, Chinese President Xi Jinping wrote a letter to him in which he reaffirmed his intention to strengthen bilateral relations and strategic cooperation with Pakistan.
President Xi told PM Shehbaz, “The strengthening of [our bilateral] relations is of utmost importance to me [….] I want to work with you to increase Pak-China strategic cooperation,” in his letter of congratulations.
The letter from the Chinese president is being sent while Beijing and Islamabad have multifaceted bilateral connections and cooperate in a number of areas, including projects related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
