KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) stated on Saturday that while it was predicted to stay hot and muggy in Karachi for the next 24 hours, there was a chance of rain, wind, and thunder this evening or tonight.
The PMD recorded the lowest temperature of 30.5°C and forecasted a maximum temperature rise in the megalopolis between 36°C and 38°C.
“The air is 75% humid,” the meteorological department reported.
The meteorological department issued a second three-day forecast in which it stated that further temperature rises were anticipated in Karachi due to the likelihood of hot and humid weather over the following three days.
On Sunday, Mercury may soar to 39°C, although it may also rain that day in the evening or at night.
Monday’s high could reach 40°C, according to the PMD.
Meanwhile, by tonight, several areas of Dadu, Qambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, Sukkur, Hyderabad, and Thatta are predicted to have light rain.
On Friday, certain areas of Karachi saw light rain after an earlier forecast of rain.
Light rain transformed the city’s weather after a protracted period of oppressive heat from high temperatures ahead of the monsoon season in districts like North Karachi, New Karachi, North Nazimabad, Garden, Lyari, Saddar, old city areas, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
