In a further instance of animal cruelty in Rawalpindi, a man hacked off the ears of a female donkey a few days after the horrifying example of a landlord amputating a camel.
According to the police, the pregnant donkey was physically attacked by the influential individual who had entered his fields in the Rawat area.
They added that Tanveer Hussain, the owner of the donkey, filed a complaint, leading to the registration of a case against the suspect.
The complainant claimed in the First Information Report (FIR) that he had allowed his donkey to wander off and drink water after the wheat was harvested at the farms, but the donkey ended up wandering into Arshad Mehmood’s field.
At this point, the donkey’s two ears were allegedly chopped by the named suspect.
The FIR went on to say that Mehmood was a “influencial” figure in his community and that people were afraid to name him.
Hussain declared in a video statement that he would speak out in every platform to obtain justice for his donkey.
Recall that a few days prior, a landlord in Sindh’s Sanghar district severed the leg of a female camel for similar reasons.
