ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) intends to organize a protest for “judiciary’s independence” at D-Chowk on Friday. The association representing private schools has announced that the schools will remain closed due to the possibility of traffic closures around the federal capital.
“Our first goal is the protection of our children. The private schools’ association’s general secretary, Waheed Khan, stated in a statement released late Thursday that “even today, the students suffered from road blockades.”
The change occurred after the Imran Khan-founded former ruling party declared its intention to stage a protest at D-Chowk in support of the judiciary’s “independence” and the release of the former prime minister from prison.
The Islamabad district administration has already put “the Peaceful Assembly and Public Order Act, 2024” and Section 144 into effect,
