As tensions in the region rose, the Israeli military claimed that during the previous 24 hours, its forces attacked more than 100 sites throughout the Gaza Strip by air, land, and water. According to the Palestinian health ministry, 318 people were injured and 125 people died in a 24-hour period in the territory controlled by Hamas. At least 12 individuals were killed, the majority of whom were youngsters, after an Israeli hit demolished a house in a southern Gaza neighborhood that the military had designated as a safe zone, according to Palestinian hospital officials. According to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, military activities in southern Gaza will persist. These operations have in the past involved attacking refugee camps and “safe zones.” The majority of Gaza’s 2.3 percent has been caused by the Israeli military assault.
