The hearing, entitled “A Legacy of Incompetence: Consequences of the Biden-Harris Administration’s Policy Failures,” is set to take place on Thursday, September 19, at 10 a.m. ET, according to Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky.
In a statement to News on Thursday, Comer charged that Vice President Kamala Harris and President Biden were to blame for “skyrocketing inflation, the worst border crisis in American history, high energy prices, chaos around the world, and rampant waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement at federal agencies.”
The hearing next week will look at the Biden-Harris Administration’s track record of failure and what may be done to undo the harm this administration has done.
This occurs as House Republicans have been focusing more on Harris in the weeks after she was selected as the Democrats’ 2024 presidential nominee, taking Biden’s place when he withdrew from the contest.
Republicans have also capitalized on Harris’s prior attempts to portray herself as a key player in the most important choices made by the White House. A Harris government, according to the former president and his Republican backers, would be a continuation of Biden’s leftist policies.
Additionally, the House has held numerous hearings regarding Harris’s management of the border issue in particular, as well as her function as the Biden administration’s “border czar” overseeing.
