PESHAWAR: Prime Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Ali Amin Gandapur, stated on Tuesday that “no one can dare to ban the PTI which secured highest number of votes” in the nationwide elections held on February 8 following the announcement by the federal government that it would be taking adverse action against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
PTI-supported At a news conference in Peshawar today, Chief Minister Gandapur made the claim. The comment came amid an ongoing political crisis, following the controversial decision of the coalition government led by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to ban the party formed by Imran Khan.
To evaluate security plans for Muharram processions, the chief minister went to Peshawar’s Supreme Command Post Kohati Gate with the Peshawar commissioner, the speaker of the KP Assembly, the CCPO, and other officials.
