The players for the national squad trained hard and hammered the nets in Sophia Gardens in the beautiful weather.
Notably, following their victory over Pakistan in the second game played in Birmingham, England now leads the four-match Twenty20 International series 1-0. Meanwhile, the continuous rain in Leeds forced the cancellation of the opening game.
The last game of the series will be played on May 30 at the Oval in London. Following that, the Pakistani team will fly out to the USA on June 1 to compete in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
Since the finalists of the previous edition will not be participating in the warm-up matches for this year’s main event, the continuing series will act as a prelude for both teams before the T20 World Cup 2024.
