The party had demanded nationwide demonstrations on Tuesday in opposition to the arrest of party legislators from Parliament House.
Party leaders stated that PTI founder Imran Khan ordered the preparations to be abandoned because the party intended to mobilize leaders, workers, and fans from all over the nation, including Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Punjab Hammad Azhar, the acting president of the PTI, tweeted on Thursday stating that Imran Khan had ordered the “postponement” of the Friday demonstration. He instructed staff to get ready and concentrate on the public meeting in Lahore.
On the cancellation of the Friday demonstration, however, the PTI’s central leadership and its X handle said nothing.
Shaukat Basra, a PTI spokesman in Punjab, stated that the Lahore jalsa would be a public gathering at the national level.
