The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said in a study today that Pakistan’s economic growth rebounded in fiscal year 2024, which concluded on June 30, 2024, thanks to increasing domestic consumption brought on by increased revenue from agriculture and worker remittances.
As per the September 2024 edition of the Asian Development Outlook (ADO), which is the official economic publication of the Asian Development Bank, Pakistan is expected to have experienced a slight rebound in GDP growth to 2.4% in FY2024 and a further 2.8% growth in FY2025, accompanied by a decrease in inflation. Even while there are still risks to the negative, sticking to the nation’s economic reform agenda will be essential to bolstering macroeconomic stability and the growth recovery.
