Susan Berry, a 36-year-old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based freelance fashion photographer, just returned from a two-month business trip to Italy.
Berry claimed that because all of her flights were booked, she was able to stay three more nights in Naples, Italy.
“When I got to the airport, an American Airlines manager told me we were overbooked and asked if I could stay. I answered, “Me, I’ll do it,” before he could finish his statement. “You get $1,200 in vouchers, a four-star hotel, and all meals,” she said of the credit she received.

Berry claimed that although at first she was eager to be home, she wasn’t “ready enough to turn down $1,200 in travel vouchers” for her upcoming excursion.
Berry claimed that after that, she was driven to a motel not far from Naples along with eight other passengers who also had to spend an additional night.
