RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday that six soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel, accepted martyrdom after a gunfight with terrorists in the Spinwam district of North Waziristan.
The military’s propaganda wing released a statement claiming that “six Khwarij” were also killed during the night of October 4-5 during the firefight between the two sides.
“Lt Col Muhammad Ali Shaukat was leading the operation against the khwarij when he and five soldiers were martyred as a result of intense exchange of fire,” according to the ISPR.
Lance Naik Muhammad Ullah, Lance Naik Yusaf Ali, Lance Naik Shahid Ullah, Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman, and Sepoy Jameel Ahmed were the troops who died on the battlefield.
