On December 16, all public and private educational institutions in Lahore, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi will be closed in observance of the tenth anniversary of the massacre at Army Public School (APS) Peshawar.
The horrific incident, which killed 147 innocent children and instructors on December 16, 2014, is still the bloodiest and most agonizing in the history of the nation. Six terrorists dressed in military uniforms broke into the school and opened fire on students, staff, and teachers without distinction.
At least 147 individuals, including 122 kids, accepted death; the attack also claimed the lives of schoolteacher Sofia Hijab and principal Tahira Qazi.
At least nine security personnel, including two officers, were hurt in the conflict with the terrorists.
