Politicians quickly called for a revision of the present gun rules in response to Friday's massacre. In response, Prime Minister Anutin promised to enact a new law governing guns. The public's ability to carry such weapons will be restricted under the proposed new legislation.Only government employes who are on duty will be permitted to carry firearms under the new rule, according to Anutin. He gave no details about the planned law, such as whether it would make gun ownership more stringent.

US Hotels Fear Weak World Cup Tourism as Bookings Fall Short Tourism expectations fail to match reality US hotels are worried the upcoming World Cup will not deliver the expected tourism boost. Many host cities are reporting lower-than-expected bookings, raising doubts about the event’s economic impact. A report from the American Hotel & Lodging Association shows demand is falling behind forecasts across most locations. The group represents more than 32,000 hotel properties and a large share of franchised hotels in the United States. Conflict between booking data and ticket sales The association says hotel demand does not match FIFA’s claim that over five million tickets have already been sold. It warns that the expected financial gains from the tournament could be lower than projected. Accusations over hotel room block bookings The report also criticizes FIFA for reserving large numbers of hotel rooms in advance. According to the association, this created artificial demand and pushed prices higher in early stages of booking. Later, FIFA cancelled a significant portion of those reservations. Hotel operators say this left gaps in availability and disrupted normal pricing patterns. FIFA has rejected these claims and does not agree with the criticism. Other factors behind weak demand Hotels say several issues are discouraging visitors. High ticket prices for matches are one concern. Expensive local transport and taxes are also adding pressure. Some operators also point to political tensions as another reason international travel interest has slowed. Economic outlook remains uncertain With lower bookings and mixed signals from ticket sales, the hospitality sector is now unsure about the World Cup’s overall economic benefit. Many hotels are preparing for weaker-than-expected revenue during the tournament period.

Lionel Messi World Cup scoring record

Lionel Messi has moved into World Cup history once again after becoming the tournament’s all time leading scorer during Argentina’s latest match against Austria. His performance was not just about goals, it also showed how he continues to perform at the highest level even in the later stage of his career.

Record Breaking World Cup FormMore Than Just GoalsWhy He Is Still Performing at the Top

The 38 year old forward opened the scoring with a trademark curling finish from his left foot, giving Argentina early control of the game. He later added a second goal from a tight angle, beating two defenders before finishing calmly to secure a 2 to 0 win.

Record Breaking World Cup Form

Messi’s goals in this match pushed him past every other player in World Cup history for total goals scored. His current tournament form has been outstanding. He scored a hat trick in Argentina’s opening match, followed by a two goal performance in the second game.

He has now scored in six consecutive World Cup matches. Only two players before him, Just Fontaine in 1958 and Jairzinho in 1970, have managed similar runs. No player has ever scored in seven straight World Cup matches.

More Than Just Goals

Messi is also contributing beyond scoring. He has created more goal scoring chances than any other player in World Cup history, based on available data since 1966. He is just one assist away from holding the all time assist record at the tournament as well, a mark he currently shares with Diego Maradona.

Why He Is Still Performing at the Top

Despite playing club football in Major League Soccer for the past three years and being close to 39 years old, Messi continues to deliver strong performances on football’s biggest stage. His consistency, awareness, and technical control remain key factors behind his long lasting success.

Younger stars such as Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, and Vinicius Jr are already making an impact on global football. Still, Messi continues to set a high standard that others are trying to reach.

Next Article I Didn’t Plan to Be at Argentina vs England 1986 World Cup A Last Minute Ticket Changed Everything I never expected to be at a World Cup match. I was 17 and had never even attended a football game before. Football was not part of my life. That changed in a single morning when the phone rang. A friend of my father could not use two tickets. My mother and I were invited to take them. It felt unreal. We decided quickly. We went to Mexico City without overthinking it. Family Concerns After a Tense History My father felt unsure about sending us. The memory of the Falklands War was still fresh, and he worried about tension between Argentine and English supporters. Still, my mother did not want to miss the chance. She saw it as a once in a lifetime experience. She believed we should go. Journey to Azteca Stadium The drive through Mexico City felt alive. Cars carried flags. People shouted chants from windows. The city felt like it belonged to the World Cup. Even though Mexico was already out of the tournament, fans still celebrated as if they were part of everything. I joined in without thinking too much. I shouted along with the crowds. It felt more like a festival than a football match. My First Impression of Football Culture Football itself was not my focus. I treated the day like a celebration. I dressed up carefully, more like going to a party than a stadium. My mother noticed but did not stop me. I expected excitement, but not what I saw next. Inside Azteca Stadium The Azteca was overwhelming. It was huge, loud, and full of color. Fans from many countries filled the stands. People sang, laughed, and celebrated together. The energy was constant. The stadium felt like the center of the world. At that moment, I cared less about the game and more about the experience of being there.
