During Monday’s opening Twenty20 match, Hartley, a commentator for the BBC and other Australian media networks, claims that Sophie Ecclestone, a former England teammate, turned down her request for a TV interview.
After England’s early elimination from the T20 World Cup last year, the 31-year-old questioned the fitness levels of several of the team’s players.
“I’ve been hung out to dry,” Hartley, who announced his retirement from playing in 2023, said on the special podcast for Test Match.
“The reason I stated that Australia is more fit than England is because I want them to compete, improve, and win.
However, I’ve been ignored ever since—not by everyone, but by some people, coaches, and
