RAWALPINDI: Faisal Chaudhry, the attorney for PTI founder Imran Khan, was taken into custody by police on Friday outside the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi, one day after he used derogatory words at a jail official for denying him access to the imprisoned former premier.
Chaudhry arrived at Adiala jail to meet with Khan, and a large police force arrived at the checkpoint.
According to news sources, the attorney was arrested for uttering disparaging remarks about jail guard Imran Riaz one day prior.
Chaudhry was “formally arrested” and taken to the checkpoint at Adiala jail, according to police sources.
Speaking to reporters outside the jail, Chaudhry criticized the fact that a notice was sent out today in response to yesterday’s event at the interior gate.
