According to an official statement, President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Lisbon on Monday and expressed his condolences to Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini on the passing of his father, Prince Karim Aga Khan.
According to the statement, Pakistan lamented the loss of a “great philanthropist” and a “true friend,” and President Zardari sent his sincere condolences on behalf of the country’s citizens and administration.
At the age of 88, Prince Karim Aga Khan, the 49th hereditary Imam of the Ismailis, who was well-known for his achievements in horse racing, enormous riches, and efforts on global development, passed away in Lisbon, Portugal.
On Sunday, Prince Karim was buried in a private ceremony in Aswan, Egypt, one day after his funeral in Lisbon.
