On Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched yet another tirade against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, claiming that except from Adiala jail, where PTI founder Imran Khan is detained, good news was emanating from all over the nation.
Speaking at the first public event in Narowal after taking office as chief minister, Maryam stated, “Good news is coming from every corner of the country…only bad news is coming from Adiala Jail.”
She also criticized Imran for “pleading to be saved” in his flurry of letters to General Asim Munir, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS).
In recent weeks, the 71-year-old politician and former cricket player, who has been incarcerated since August 2023, wrote three “open letters” to the army head, stating that they were written.”
