Karachi: Police confirmed in the early hours of Thursday that a motorcyclist had died after suffering serious injuries in a traffic collision involving a trailer in Landhi’s Industrial Area.
Officials say two people were hurt in the crash and were sent to the hospital almost immediately. During treatment, one of the victims passed away from his wounds, and the other is still receiving medical attention.
The trailer truck driver fled the scene after the collision, but police say they are working to find and arrest him.
Rescue officials reported that 138 people have died in different traffic incidents in Karachi so far this year.
In addition, heavy traffic accidents have claimed the lives of 46 people.
