As both sides aim to set themselves up for a fresh round of US-Iranian talks on Saturday, Iran will conduct discussions with European parties to their now-defunct 2015 nuclear deal in Rome on Friday, its foreign minister announced on Wednesday.
Tehran has offered to meet with Britain, France, and Germany, or the E3, who adhere to the 2015 agreement to limit Iran’s nuclear activities. The agreement fell apart in 2018 after US President Donald Trump withdrew from it during his first term in office, according to a Reuters report on Monday.
