RIYADH: Ahead of US President Donald Trump’s arrival in Saudi Arabia, the kingdom has announced the launch of a new artificial intelligence business called HUMAIN.
Part of the kingdom’s endeavors to lead in AI and strengthen its future-oriented economy is the corporation at the heart of Riyadh’s strategy and investments.
HUMAIN was established to “operate and invest across the artificial intelligence (AI) value chain,” according to a statement released by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), whose chairman is Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto ruler.
The announcement is made the night before Trump arrives in Riyadh for the first leg of a Gulf tour, where a joint Saudi-US investment forum is anticipated to feature artificial intelligence as a key theme.
