ISLAMABAD: On Friday, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad rendered a decision in the May 9 attack case on the Ramna police station. Eleven defendants, including former MPA Wazirzada Kailashi and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Abdul Latif, were sentenced to a total of 15 years and four months in prison, in addition to fines.
The ruling was given today by ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra. Four of the defendants in the courtroom, Muhammad Akram, Meeran Khan, Shahzeb, and Sohail Khan, were taken into jail by police after the verdict.
The court has issued arrest warrants for the fugitive suspects in the meanwhile.
