Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell concluded his 50-over career on Monday by announcing his immediate retirement from One Day Internationals.
The 36-year-old is anticipated to be in the running for the 2026 T20 World Cup and will continue to play for Australia in T20 Internationals.
Maxwell’s decision follows fellow World Cup champion Steven Smith’s recent ODI retirement and Australia’s semi-final elimination from the ICC Champions Trophy earlier this year.
