ISLAMABAD: By extending the deadline for filing Expressions of Interest (EoI) till June 19, Pakistan has given potential investors additional time to prepare their bids for the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL).
The goal of this 15-day extension from the initial June 3 deadline is to allow for wider participation in one of the biggest divestment programs the country has seen in recent history.
All other terms and conditions for the acquisition are still in place, according to a senior Privatization Commission official who confirmed the prolongation to The News.
Along with complete management control, the government is providing a controlling stake in PIACL, ranging from 51% to 100% equity.
