Senior BJP politician Subramanian Swamy made the uncommon and direct acknowledgment that Pakistan shot down five Indian Air Force planes during the most recent battle.
Speaking in an interview, Swamy said that Pakistan’s use of Chinese fighter jets surpassed New Delhi’s French-made aircraft, defeating the Indian fighters in air battle.
Five of our jets were shot down by Pakistan. Our jets were French, and they brought them down with Chinese planes,” Swamy disclosed. The French planes were bad, but the Chinese planes were good. He went on to criticize the performance of the much-discussed Rafale jets, saying, “Rafale is not up to the mark as per India’s needs.”
