Following the loss of at least 242 valuable lives in a plane disaster in Ahmedabad, India, on Thursday, Pakistan and world leaders conveyed their condolences and grief.
Minutes after take-off from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, the London-bound Air India flight 171 crashed with 242 on board.
Outside the airport boundary at lunch, the plane crashed into a medical college dorm in a residential area. It was en route to Gatwick Airport, which is located south of the capital city of Britain. No survivors were reported to have been located.
“Saddened by the tragic crash of Air India flight near Ahmedabad today,” Prime Minister Shehbaz stated in response to the immoral jet tragedy.
