The sole survivor is receiving treatment in a hospital after being discovered in seat 11A of the Air India flight that crashed.
Talking to the private Indian news agency ANI, he stated, “The police discovered a lone individual in 11A. Seat 11A is where the individual was discovered and currently is receiving treatment. I cannot comment on the casualties at this stage. The casualties may increase as the crash site is in a populated area.”
Based on various international sources, a surviving passenger recounted hearing an enormous bang about 30 seconds after the plane took off and subsequently went down. “It was all a blur,” He narrates.
Notably, the Boeing plane hit a medical college hostel in the Indian city of Ahmedabad, where it had around 242 passengers onboard. However, so far, only one reported survivor.
