By integrating ChatGPT into WhatsApp, OpenAI has made it possible to generate images without navigating between apps or websites.
The company acknowledged in a statement posted on its official handle on X (previously Twitter) that the feature, which was made available in December 2024, was fully rolled out for all users on Monday.
According to OpenAI, the firm that created ChatGPT, the latest version represents a new phase in the incorporation of generative AI tools into popular messaging platforms by enabling users to create AI images from within the WhatsApp chat interface by merely entering their instructions.
“Anyone using ChatGPT on WhatsApp can now access this feature,” the statement read.
