Under the monthly fuel prices adjustment for April 2024, K-Electric has asked for a reduction of Rs4.69 per unit, which might be a respite for Karachi’s energy users.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has received the application.
A public hearing on the appeal is scheduled for June 23 in Islamabad, per a statement from Nepra.
By publishing an updated notification, the authority has also changed the hearing timetable.
Customers of K-Electric would receive a total relief of Rs7.17 billion if the price reduction is allowed.
