LONDON: In an unusual move, the reigning Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions Lahore Qalandars sent their championship trophy to the UK to celebrate with its abroad players, Tom Curran and Sam Billings, who had been unable to attend the tournament’s final matches.
Dr. Muhammad Faisal, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, hosted the festive event at the Pakistan High Commission in London.
Key members of the Qalandars’ administration, including Sam Billings and Tom Curran, who are based in England, team captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, and CEO Atif Rana and COO Sameen Rana, attended the event.
Journalist Jugnu Mohsin, former head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi, and representatives of the media and Pakistani diaspora were also present.
