WORCESTER: In an attempt to improve their results in the county championship, Worcestershire County Cricket Club signed promising Pakistani seamer Khurram Shahzad. Head coach Alan Richardson thinks the move will help the player’s developing international career in addition to bolstering the team’s pace attack in all formats.
After seven games with just one win, Worcestershire is currently at the bottom of the Division One table. In the T20 Blast, they are in fifth place in the North group, but they are optimistic that the recent acquisition of a Pakistani seamer will help them turn the tide in the second half of the season.
Richardson stated, “We needed a seamer who is going to play in all formats for us.”
