The Punjab administration has made it plain that all government employee salary disbursements must now be made online, eliminating the need for cash and checks.
In accordance with a formal announcement made on Tuesday, government workers throughout the province will immediately get their salaries straight into their bank accounts. The action intends to improve the province’s payroll system, increase transparency, and lower the possibility of financial mismanagement.
The letter states that “beginning with the next payment cycle, all government employees shall receive their salaries through their respective bank accounts.” It also attests to the fact that salary payments made in cash or by check have been stopped immediately.
