The price of gold rose dramatically in Pakistan and around the world a day after a slight uptick.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reports that the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs6,600 per tola on Tuesday, reaching Rs356,800. In a same vein, 10 grams of gold increased in value by Rs5,658, reaching Rs305,898.
A significant shift was also seen in the world gold market, as the price of gold increased by $66 per ounce to $3,348.
In Pakistan, the cost of silver has increased. A tola of 24-karat silver now costs Rs52 more than it did a year ago, at Rs3,834, while 10 kilos of silver now costs Rs3,287.
